Friederich is one of the most respected French luthiers contemporaries and his instruments are used by great European, Japanese and Latin American violonistas. At the beginning of his career He was greatly stimulated and influenced for Robert Bouchet. However, Friederich always made question to develop his proper tools and constructive techniques. Notable in his career was constant envolvement with scientists, musicians and other enthusiastic of acoustics and music. Its studies in acoustics had always objectified the development of instruments with sonorous power, sustentation, timbre, balance between bass and treble, among others characteristic.

Initially formed as a great cabinet maker, his interest for guitars began in 1955, when it was interested for the studies of execution of the instrument. At the early decade of 1960, He passed to dedicate integrally to lutherie. In 1967 He received the prize of craftsmanship better and sonorous quality in the International Competition of Lutherie of Belgium - Ignácio Fleta was, in this time, the president of the jury of the competition. Artists like the components of duo of Presti-Lagoya had been always related to the work of Friederich. Since 1982 Friederich is director of the jury of the section of stringed instruments of the traditional competition “The Best Craftsman of France”.
